Critic Reviews for 3/4
A whisper-light family roundelay of carefully constructed visuals that convey a sense of absence on the cusp of optimism.
Director Ilian Metev wants our focus on the family physics.
3/4 is a small but ambitious drama with a perfectly symmetrical structure, using minimal means, nonprofessional actors, and everyday conversations to convey its characters' innermost feelings.
It's a conceptually intelligent film that develops the vicissitudes of this family with sensitivity and subtlety, but wavers in the emotional section and doesn't end up as a convincing piece of work. [Full review in Spanish]
Bulgarian director Metev's narrative feature debut is a totally absorbing slice-of-life drama bursting with vibrancy, sweetness and life.
