I can't imagine a person experienced with offbeat English-language films of the last ten years not seeing much that's familiar in Adult Life Skills, but it's a lovely movie with some good performances and it makes some good choices.

wonderful: bitter-sweet, laugh out loud and a few tears too.
Highly skillful filmmaking.n

I was pleasantly surprised by this film... honestly feel it should've been rated a little higher... great performance by Jodie Whittaker.

Another excellent British film which proves that if you have excellent writing, actors and an actual story you can be as good if not better than the usual bombastic Hollywood dirge. I really enjoyed this film.

Meh...there is some funny stuff, but I suggest you watch it with subtitles because the accents are pretty thick.

Refreshing, relatable and funny little film. Leaves a raw feeling but also a comfort to those who have suffered great loss with the knowledge that they aren't alone... loved it

In classic indie style, this is a gentle but fairly stylised portrayal of bereavement, survivor's guilt and moving on. For something billed as a comedy it didn't make me laugh much, but it did engage me enough that I sobbed throughout the closing credits, so it clearly did something right. A promising debut from director/writer/editor Rachel Tunnard.

The film does a good job of showing the bewilderment of grief, but it lacks the generosity it needs to rise above the heroine's angst. I missed the sense of fun that carries the best films, even those covering serious topics.

Quirky and funny with a nice even blend of comedy and drama.

Started off kinda meekly, I was quickly losing interest when I thought I was about to waste my time on yet another childish portrayal of a delayed adulthood, shoulders stubbornly stuck in the vaginal walls of a happier past, a past that made sense -- whereas renting an apartment, paying bills etc, obviously doesn't.

Well. I was wrong. Boy, was I wrong. Wruh-uh-ong. This is a great little movie -- funny, lighthearted, and still, the dramatic elements are so strong and wonderfully structured, proving entirely capable of planting a lump in your throat the size of a goddamned walnut.

Nothing more to say. Watch this. It's good.

Brilliant film that combined the right amount of comedy with tragedy. The scenery was beautiful as well.

Was lucky enough to go to the UK Premiere in Edinburgh a few days ago. I thought the film was absolutely fantastic - funny, heartwarming, emotional. Really believable characters. Jodie Whittaker is fantastic in it!
