Alex B @AlexBioni 15 hrs ago This Got Out of Hand This movie is excellent. The acting feels genuine and doesn't skip a beat. Audrey and Henry's actors knock it out of the park. They play everyday people forcing themselves into a difficult situation. They're very neighborly, like a stereotypical suburban couple with a big pinch of crazy. The tension is high because of their situation and the mystery surrounding why they're doing this. There are creepy moments, like the woman in the kitchen with the floss and the man in Beckers' room with a bag over his head. That scene was nightmare fuel. The dialogue is well done and funny at times, like the DDF scene. The movie explains what's happening through the characters, which I'm usually not a fan of, but it works here. Sometimes the acting and dialogue feel a little Hallmark, and the pacing can be slow, but it stays engaging. There's also very little music, which I'm not a fan of. I found the ending satisfying and would definitely recommend this to horror fans. See more Kris T @RT26407207 1 day ago One of the better horrors after 2020s. It gives a touch of Where Evil Lurks which is absolute top of horror movies, but with US budget and understanding. The fact that the grandparents came to their minds in the end puts you off a bit. But eventually the ending suggest that the evil did win and that was cool. At its core, it’s about grief and how far people are willing to go to see someone they love again. It gets dark and a little absurd at times. With that said, the lore behind the dark magic kept my interest and ending had me feeling satisfied. Hard to say too much without spoiling it, but it definitely keeps you on your toes.
