And here we are with her less than a week away from what seems to be a slam dunk for Best Actress for Hamnet. And very well deserved, not only my favorite female performance of the year, one of my favorite performances male or female of the entire decade, period. See more O g @RT76089177 Mar 18 Beast is mostly pleasing on the eye although the cinematography feels like it's trying a little too hard at times. Well-acted (Buckley is captivating, Flynn thinly veiled menace) and there is undoubtedly a nice note of suspense. The plot is ambiguous and open and most of the questions are left unresolved yet not in an unsatisfying way. However, it rang a little hollow and uneven, even contrived, and by the end it tails off to the point where it all feels a bit overwrought ITV drama. See more Alain E @AlainE 02/10/2025 This is not a movie to warm your heart, so I understand the negative reactions. An alternate title could be, two psychopath in love. One of the two in the end decides to administer justice but I am not convinced she is cured. When she was earlier pummeling the rabbit she didn’t exactly show mature and controlled behavior. The choice of actors without absolute beauty was wise. Nice cinematography. Not a date movie, unless you met your sweetie in jail. See more Iamwhoi M @Shaboutiques 09/29/2024 Bleak is the word that comes to mind when describing this film. It seems like the world is just one bleak, damp, foggy place. I won't be watching this movie again. The story itself sounded interesting; but most of the action takes place inside the ain character's head.
