Some people have expectations for slapstick comedy. And that can be a mistake. If you don't like stupidity, this isn't the film for you. This is like a modern day low budget 80s comedy. Made for the fun of it with zero intent for "comedy of the year". Definitely an odd couple, as someone said, but definitely a good goof off comedy for me.

Hard not see why the movie continues to be hated. It has real affection for the titular brothers when the natural instinct of the audience is to despise them for their grating and earnest cluelessness. That perspective (and the performances of Arnett and Forte) is what I appreciated about this bizarre comedy, which has the guts to stick to the convictions of the screenplay.

If this was a "Dumb and Dumber" sequel of the lobotomized duo figuring out how to reach fatherhood, then the reception would have been slightly better. However, since it is not but merely a mimic of the idiocy which deems much lower in storytelling quality and embarrassment for performative talent, what surreal about it is how dumb it has gone without being funny at all but more tiresome by overstaying their annoying welcome. If any talented leads want to play a dumbed down version of their characterized selves takes monetary commitment and risky showcase. (D+)

One of the worst movies I've ever seen. Cast was wasted on this movie. Direction was terrible. Script was terrible. Don't waste the hour and a half of your life that it would take to watch.
