Campbell's got the charisma and self-deprecating sense of humor to carry a whole film. We know that. But the Sam presented here isn't nearly as much fun as Campbell gets to be on the show.

One of those few TV movies that totally gets the audience it's playing to. If you love Burn Notice, then Sam's fall from the ranks of military, is probably exactly what you were hoping for.

Truthfully, I wasn't blown away by Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe, but I did enjoy the movie for what it was worth.

Fall is capably directed by Burn star Jeffrey Donovan and, at times, provides enjoyable distraction, but it mostly fails to live up to Sam Axe standards.

It's still good and it clearly had a bigger budget than the weekly series. But this was essentially a two hour episode of Burn Notice.
