Even though it has Al Pacinos bad Puerto Rican accent, the acting and story are top notch. Plus you get viggo mortensen with a great cameo.
one of the best films ever made. incredible film
A MUST SEE movie ft. top notch performance from pacino!
Absolutely incredible. De Palma's best movie. Pacino and Penn are masterful. Slightly better than Scarface which is also amazing.
It's not so easy to overturn life. His personality also disturbed it. Al pacino still has the power to play a leading role.
VERY Hollywood with a ridiculous drawn-out chase finale and a bullshit drawn-out 'hero death' (which you knew was coming because it was the very first thing you saw in the film!)
And it was too long, I was shouting for it all to end for the last 20 minutes. I'm not even sure Pacino was that good.
electric and fun crime movie with an unfortunate and sad ending. this film is like the brother of scarface and the films inspired gta vice city.
-(Seen on 3/24/19)
This was a great experience. Another one where if you want to watch a classic "mob" style movie this is another good one to watch.
A phenomenal suspenseful crime drama. Pacino's accent was at times choppy. Sean Penn's metamorphasis into David Kleinfeld was so deep you forget that its Sean Penn and Penelope Ann Miller's performance as Carlito's long lost love interest completes this cinematic trifecta.
