Mar 15, 2018A remake of the Joel Schumacher cult hit, Flatliners is a gripping psychological thriller. In an attempt to learn what happens to the brain after death four medical students experiment with inducing death and resuscitation, and in doing so touch something on the other side that begins to haunt them. Featuring Ellen Page, Diego Luna, and Nina Dobrev, the film has a pretty solid cast and a nice cameo from Keiffer Sutherland (who starred in the original). But the characters are a little underdeveloped and the conclusion is a bit anticlimactic. Still, there's a good amount of mystery to what's happening to the students and the chases and fight scenes are fairly intense. And the directing style helps to heighten the drama and suspense. Flatliners doesn't quite live up to the Schumacher original, but overall it's an entertaining film that delivers some creepy chills.Dann M Super Reviewer

Jan 24, 2018I thought the original Flatliners was okay, but I was never a big fan. That said, I was still at least partly on board for the potential of a Flatliners TV series. That idea was abandoned in favour of a straight up film-remake, but still I was interested if for no other reason than the cast. The end result? This one's even worse than the original.

Jan 07, 2018A lazy, uninspired and downright stupid remake that overlooks nearly everything that made the original film clever and effective, trying too hard to be more like a horror movie (but failing ridiculously) and not bringing anything remotely clever or new to the pot.Carlos M Super Reviewer

Jan 04, 2018Lame, Ellen Page could not save this one. I haven't seen the original in years, but all this did was make me want to watch that one and forget I ever saw this. It's a shame, because actually the cast was decent, but it just falls flat.Nicki M Super Reviewer
