Berry has proven she's willing to take on enormous challenges, and she certainly exceeds her grasp here. Perhaps that's why Frankie & Alice plays more like an elaborate acting workshop than a movie.

A hefty delivery that justified the story's subjective psychology with Berry's channeling performance, alongside Skarsgard's humane empathetic support of gentle approach, taking it to the fullest but anchored down by illogic shortcomings. (B)

Good to see Halle really acting again, after cashing checks on eleventy X-Men movies. However, she can't quite pull off the Beautiful Mind-Psycho-Split thing. Valiant effort, because schizophrenia is serious subject matter. I've seen much worse films.
