Carrell is forever funny. The script is decently written. The movie's action is also fun. All in all, good entertainment.
Worth watching. Plot makes zero sense. A lot of spoofing from previous spy movie i.e 007, True Lied etc. Anna Hathaway looks good too.
An outdated spy comedy film that is either neither smart not funny. A strong cast, with a high budget and a couple of funny jokes, may make it worth watching if you're looking for a way to "turn off your brain", but there's really nothing else.
This flick had a loaded cast, but little substance. It passed the time and got a few chuckles from me, but is nothing to keep the lights on for.
It is a very funny, comedic movie.
It wasn't a good action movie, and it wasn't a good comedy either. I thought it was dumb and pointless. (First and only viewing - 6/15/2019)
Super funny and has a great plor
It's funny, but not nearly as funny as I thought it was going to be. Part of the problem may have been the hype: when you're making a remake of an iconic TV comedy, there's going to be some expectation. Still, enjoyable. Anne Hathaway clearly elevates the character of Agent 99 from Barbara Feldon. Steve Carell is not attempting to mimic Don Adams, which is commendable. It was nice to see Bill Murray in a cameo as Agent 13. The 'enemy' spy network (KAOS) needed to be updated in the 1960's, it wasn't hard to inspire a Cold War enemy, but 40 years later, the enemy spy agency sounds a lot like a Cold War holdover. Not enough thought was given to the enemy's identity. Many of the key elements of the 1960's show are present. However, if you never saw the original show, you should be able to follow this story.
