Blake- N @PBSAniDom 6d I Want a Dog for Christmas, Charlie Brown is another great Charlie Brown Christmas special that captures the warmth and charm fans expect from the Peanuts universe. It has a simple story, but the heart behind it makes it enjoyable from beginning to end. The humor is light and classic, while the holiday atmosphere feels comforting and genuine. It keeps the same quiet style that made the earlier specials memorable without trying too hard to modernize things. The characters are lovable as always, especially the focus on family and friendship during the Christmas season. The animation and music also help give the special that timeless Peanuts feeling. Overall, it’s a fun and heartfelt holiday special that deserves more attention from Peanuts fans. I rate it an 8/10—warm, funny, and perfect for Christmas viewing. In re-watching this movie in 2020 after last having seen it in 2016, I am upping my rating from 3 to 4 stars as this 43 minute special is really enjoyable for those who love Snoopy. He is featured prominently along with his lesser known brothers.
