What viewers need to know -- if provoked by this film -- is there's far more nuance in Mary Habeck's book Knowing the Enemy: Jihadist Ideology and the War on Terror and Paul Berman's Terror and Liberalism. Go to Full Review

Islam, Spencer asserts at one point, stands as the only big-league religion that 'mandates violence against non-believers.' Considering what has been done to whom in the name of other religions, that may well end up being the funniest line of 2006. Go to Full Review

06/26/2016 Hate filled crap that selectively takes quotes and purposely misconstrues them or takes them out of context to serve the film-makers purpose. Most religions INCLUDING CHRISTIANITY WITHIN THE LAST HUNDRED YEARS have, at one point, killed because intolerance of other religions...or did we just forget about Hitler and the third Reich? Timothy McVeigh? Anders Behring Breivik? Kosovo? And that is just in the 'western' world. This is racist propaganda plain and simple. Do not waste your time. See more 10/30/2015 An excellent documentary well worth putting into your understanding of islam. Whether you agree with this or not it should be an essential part of every westerner's education about the "religion of peace". See more dwayne r @Dwendl 03/15/2015 Do not be deceived. Islam has been at war with the west since the prophet. See more 01/11/2015 only valuable parts: questioning of the religious dogma (like any others). but, one certainly cannot escape to realise the not-disguised ideological agenda and motivation behind the cheap production. See more 09/15/2012 I have watched this film four times. I took notes on what you would say are the most controversial parts. I have read the Qur'an and other Islamic texts and although, like other religions text's, interpretation is in the reader, there is no question that violence is throughout the book. Unlike the Bible where violence was based more in the Old Testament, The violence in the Qur'an is located in the more later scriptures. It can not be argued that the countries with the most ongoing violence are of Islamic majority. It can not be argued that Islam has been around for fifteen hundred years and since the beginning has been shrouded in violence. There are millions of peaceful Muslims in the world but sadly they are the minority. No true historian or scholar has actually come out proving this film inaccurate. See more 07/31/2012 I live in one of the most liberal Islamic countries in the world and I am afraid of posting my true opinions about this film. See more Read all reviews
