Mystery crime-thriller that does deliver. Doest quite go off the books but is still decent.
The movie was great and action was super but I can't accept tom cruise as sherlock holmes
I enjoyed jack reacher from start to finish with some dark action and some/a lot of suspense makes jack reacher a worthy crime movie
The worst characters I've ever seen in a movie. Typical Tom Cruise movie with a mind blending, but very bad story. The only good things in this movie are:
⢠Werner Herzog is a perfect villain (The Zeg)
⢠The action is good
The first half of this movie is unexpectedly and honestly admittedly boring for a Tom Cruise movie. I mean, it was story not just boring talk, and it was a good story too, I kind of feel a little bad. It's also a long one too, during the boring parts I really got antsy. Now when the action happened I was completely entertained, it was fun and really cool and really badass. Cruise's character was a major stud and he was the most interesting character in the whole movie. The villain was confusing and I never understood his motive so that was a killer too alongside the boring shit. Not a bad movie but not a highly recommend for some people.
The only reason "Jack Reacher" is worth watching, is because of the car chase and Tom Cruise's performance.
This book was way better than the movie, but they did okay.
Cool action, solid acting and a thrilling plot all come together to create an enjoyable crime thriller.
A thriller that had me concentrating on what the truth was, from the start of the story to finish, twisting and turning to the end. A few standard for thrillers characters re-appear, bent cop, nasty bad boss who murders his own underlings should they fail him. Cruise keeps his character on a believable level. Good stuff.
Maybe it helped that I had not read any of the JR books so could get past the apparent difference with Tom Cruises look to that of the written character however thought that the film was well paced and only faltered at the final show down as this felt somewhat of a repeat of many other action films
