Gil Rosselini, son of Roberto, abruptly falls into a coma. For three weeks he remains unconscious, to the bafflement of family and medical staff. When he awakens, he is subject to a host of operations to battle the bacteria that have taken siege of his body. The film serves as a journal of his recuperation, from gory to gentle, as he recovers as much as his body will allow. Gil remains optimistic throughout the procedures, despite the chance that he may never have the use of his legs again.
