This is A Film-Noirish like classic. Elvis is incredible and displays some serious acting chops in this movie. Originally screened for James Dean. Dark and Depraved. The soundtrack also feature some of Elvis's most raucous and raw tacks. Followed up with some of his most beautiful, stirring songs. Kid Creole is Unlike anything Elvis did before or would after. An Elvis movie that will get the best out of you emotionally. If you're under 40 and you want to know why this man was a legend, This is it.
Elvis shows his acting chops and the supporting cast is great. The story is also fantastic. Elvis's best.
The story is great, with a cast of well known actors that shine!
Was the best Elvis movie ever. My husband even said during it, "You forget you are watching an Elvis movie, seems like a real movie movie".
Aside from a fantastic soundtrack, King Creole moves too slow and is far too long to recommend
Boring story that moves so slowly
What can you say..."Elvis" is the King!
Love this movie, Elvis was amazing in it and acted his ass off, just goes to show what he may of acheived with a better manager that didnt give him some of the later musicals. He was dark, broody and this had some great songs. The King at his best
Uh holy shit, this is a legit as hell movie. Great music choices, REALLY great acting by Elvis, fleshed out characters with real motives and reasons behind their actions, a genuinely interesting if not sad story, great setting.... my only complaint is that there's like 3 black people in this New Orleans but well I guess what can you expect. Surprisingly good film, would recommend in general even to non-Elvis fans.
Best Elvis Presley movie, hands down. Elvis's acting significantly better than in his previous three movies, excellent supporting cast, solid script and superb directing by THE Michael Curtiz. Soundtrack somehow pulls off a blend of New Orleans music and 50s rock and roll. Highly recommend.
