Linda Hanson (Sandra Bullock) has an idyllic life, until one day she receives word that her husband (Julian McMahon) has died in an auto accident. However, when Linda wakes up the next morning and finds Jim beside her, she assumes she has just had an unusually vivid dream. Soon she finds out that what she experienced was not a dream, and she must battle time and destiny to save her family.

Like a lot of mediocre movies it's not about much more than the immediate emotional response it's trying to generate. The filmmakers realize this and make an effort to shoe horn some themes in ... it just makes an already muddled movie even more muddled.

Regardless of what the "critics" say, this movie is a good watch as you try to see how Sandra Bullock will resolve things. She is a great actress and is surrounded by an outstanding cast. Just sit back and let the movie roll and enjoy wrestling with what is going on.

3.0 stars; Time travel meets Groundhog Day. I'm not really sure what the producers of this movie were trying to achieve. I guess the message was to hold on tight to whatever is important in your life. Unfortunately, the constant jumping back and forth in time leads to audience confusion as to what the message is. However, what I really liked about the movie was the performance of Sandra Bullock. She can do a pretty darn good job when given a serious role.

Better than average for most movies these days. As a spoiler the scenes relating to the daughter's accident could have been left out as this didn't quite connect, but now that we've had some practise with movies using flashbacks and altering events, the rest held together well. Sandra Bullock also played a difficult part well.
