the film has nothing to do with the popular fairy tale. The film written and directed by Julia Leigh starring Emily Browning as Lucy struggling to make ends meet as she but heads with her sister's boyfriend. She then seeks for better employment and stumbles onto a help wanted add that almost acts like a secret escort service. It has remnants of "Eyes Wide Shut" and "
This was beyond horrible! As it was moving forward it really was going nowhere or in maybe 5 different directions?! It’s meant to shock you and it does, but for all the wrong reason and the main one was that the script and direction of the movie was lost in the first 20 minutes! I fast forwarded it so many times and still made no difference...still a horrible piece a cinematic work.
Believe the critics are correct in the fact that the movie is boring and not entertaining. It's the script.
extraordinary boring movie. it would be better if was a 10 min short movie.
Doesn't understand its own abstractions or why it's employing them, other than it seems to want to be like a David Lynch movie. I just finished watching the new season of Twin Peaks so the comparison is extremely unflattering. By the way, why the fuck is Benita from Play School in this movie? That was unbelievably awkward.
This movie gets 1/2 star for the boobies ... other than that the film was shit.
Made me feel awful for watching. Hard to understand. Very interesting but no real ending. Or explanation.
The colors and the overall look of this movie is good. A+ for the images. But I can't figure out what its about. Critics say its a mystery about sexual imagery. To me its just one long boring look at the naked Emily Browning. The story sucked.
So boring nothing really happens.
Shouldn't have wasted an hour and half of my life watching this crap!
