I think it is because the dialogue is some of the best I’ve seen in a movie. The writing and the acting keeps you engaged. Jesse Eisenberg gives Mark Zuckerberg brilliance and insecurity at once. His speed and intelligence feel less like confidence than defense. Andrew Garfield brings warmth and heartbreak as Eduardo Saverin, while Justin Timberlake gives Sean Parker the charm and danger of limitless success. The film's deepest irony is that a platform made to connect people becomes a portrait of disconnection. Success does not feel triumphant here.
