Yeah, the tone may be a little all over the place, but there is STILL so much to love about this one. The animation, specifically the 2D characters paired with 3D backgrounds, still looks GORGEOUS by today’s standards. Tom Hulce is a GREAT Quasimodo, in my opinion, and Demi Moore absolutely nails her role as Esmeralda. But the true star of the show is Claude Frollo. I am just going to say it. ONE OF THE BEST DISNEY VILLAINS EVER!!! That is right, you heard me. Tony Jay KILLS this role, bringing to life a villain dripping with malice everywhere he goes. Honestly, if I had seen this movie as a kid, his villain song would have creeped the CRAP out of me. Speaking of which, the songs are CAPTIVATING. Some of them almost made me cry, especially, "Heaven’s Light", "God Help the Outcasts," and, "Out There". I strongly advise you to give this one a watch. You will not regret it.
