      What to know

      Critics Consensus

Despite the steely presence of Samuel L. Jackson and the comic timing of Eugene Levy, The Man's plot is pointless and its jokes rehashed, as it ends up playing out like the Odd Couple with gas. Read critic reviews

It felt like the only reason Samuel Jackson & Eugene Levy were put together in this movie was to see if it would work & hopefully $$$ would be made at the box office. There's nothing too The Man.It's just your basic, average, everyday buddy flick with a little action & some comedy thrown in.The only thing I really found funny was the scene where Eugene Levy was calling Samuel Jackson his B**** I really wanted to like this movie because pairing up Samuel Jackson with Eugene Levy was something different but I didn't.The Man turned out to be another 1 of those buddy flicks where if you've seen 1 than you've seen them all

Absolutely terrible comedy buddy movie. Bearing in mind that Samuel L. Jackson and Eugene Levy have built their careers playing pretty much the same characters in each of their respective movies, you don't even need to see this to know exactly what it's going to be like. Take some advice: skip it and spend your 90 minutes more profitably elsewhere.

It's a fun movie with a story and something simple but it works well.

I can understand why people don't like it but IMO it was a really funny movie.
