I absolutely loved this movie. It is incredibly funny and the acting is phenomenal. Crowe and Gosling are great together, and the screenplay is extremely well-written. I highly recommend it.

That was a lot of fun! This movie has a really fun vibe and some hilarious moments and conversations! The few action scenes are all well done and entertaining, too. I kinda liked that Holly is the genius of the group, one of my favorite storylines in the movie. Ryan Gosling is playing this comedic role close to perfection and every time he hysterically screams it's so funny. Russell Crowe is also excellent, the same goes for Angourie Rice. Almost every supporting role is also really good written. My favorite line of the movie which cracked me up the most: " you know the kind, had their balls removed. What's that called?" "Marriage?" So good. Such a joy to watch! Sad it wasn´t the biggest success on the Box office.

The Nice Guys is a film that keeps getting better every time you watch it. Writer/director Shane Black is at the top of his game with one of his smartest, wittiest scripts -- elevated further by a terrific cast with some fantastic chemistry.

The Nice Guys may be Shane Black's most overtly comedic effort. Your enjoyment will depend a lot on whether or not you like his particular blend of slick dialogue and violent slapstick. I think a buddy comedy suits Black's strengths. [As opposed to something like The Predator, where the banter undercuts the survival horror elements.] The humor works here thanks to the breezy chemistry of the three leads and a plot that's surprisingly engrossing without ever taking itself too seriously.

The Nice Guys is described as a "Neo-Noir Action Comedy", whatever that means. It's more of a "Buddy Cop" movie, except they aren't cops. Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling are looking for a missing girl. Crowe plays a likeable, thoughtful, small-time thug interested in self improvement. He has some amusing moments and does a pretty good job with comedic acting. Gosling disappoints as a private investigator. There are too many scenes with bad acting, some of it obnoxiously so. There are too many scenes that have no other purpose than to fill the time. The movie is predictable, formulaic, hit and miss with the majority being a miss. The film didn't make much money and didn't receive any awards. The people who really seem to like this film are the second tier movie critics. They are probably the ones who assigned "Neo-Noir" as a genre for this movie.

Gosling and Crowe are a funny and kooky duo as underground PIs in 70s LA with all the twists and turns and murder and intricacy of a classic noir plus the hijinks and comedy of a buddy cop movie. I'll admit I have a soft spot for Ryan Gosling humor. Angourie Rice was an unexpected treat who added humanity and even more comedy. If comedy + noir + murder + 70s + LA sounds like fun, this is your flick.

The comedic chemistry between Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe and the energetic direction from Shane Black elevates this slightly complicated and potentially uninteresting plot into something entertaining and worth while. The Nice Guys reinvigorates the buddy cop comedy and leaves you wanting more from this witty, goofy, crime-solving duo.

Not bad. Kind of a "meh..."

Harkening back to classic buddy cop films, The Nice Guys is tropey enough to draw parallels, but remains genre-defying in a way that earn a few laughs. More importantly, the film's casual depiction of pornography and violence does bring something new to the genre.

An occasion where the acting propels the film to a magnificent height when the writing and story enough might not have caught the eye with weak performances. Definitely worth it to check this one out.
