02/02/2016 Pseudo intellectual imaginary war.. See more 02/21/2011 Also known as: The Unprecedented Defence of the Fortress Deutschkreuz This is not one of the best Herzog films I might add. See more 11/04/2009 This early short by Werner Herzog appears to be largely improvised... some guys (college buddies of Herzog's, perhaps) fuck around in an old fortress, find some uniforms and weapons, and play at war. The narration also seems to be some guy just riffing on what he sees, although this might be more written than the action. It's hard to tell, and hard to care.
