easily the worst film ever in the series the characters and plot are terrible

I'm gonna be really nice by giving this diarrea mess one star, cause man I hate that shit, it's absolutly horrible. What were they thinking by hireing Declan O'Brien to write and direct this film, when he fucked up on part 3 and 4. The teenage characters that you get attached to die like shit, the acting is just plain awful, and the special effects are obvious shitty CGI. This movie is really really bad, I definitly see why fans have called it the worst of the series. Stupid nonsensical piece of shit. I won't be watching it ever again!!!

This movie was a mess. The plot was stupid and had tons of plot holes. The acting and script was awful. However some of the death scenes were decent and pretty gory. On the flip side some of them were ridiculous. I don't like the fact that nobody survived but since they were all so stupid you don't feel bad.

Franchise reboot that turns the hunger-motivated cannibal clan from the first four movies into intelligent thrill-killers learning their craft under the tutelage of a verbose Mr. Miyagi figure. This is the first genuinely awful movie in the Wrong Turn canon; nothing about this movie works on any level. It's dark, it's humorless, and the story arc (what there is of one) never makes any sense. You'll watch it if you're like me and feel compelled to watch the whole series, but you likely won't be happy with what you see.

Keep them coming - these movies are just endless fun which I suspect won't require any thought in the production. Now that they've found the winning formula, it's just a case of introducing a new setting, a new batch of teens, and creating more imaginative ways to die. This time we're witnessing a local town carnival which is famed for its practical jokes and hillbilly fancy dress - perfect for the real freaks to blend in. The story then revolves around their new father like figure being arrested for attacking this fresh group of meet, with their retaliation landing the whole lot of them in jail. Of course, the cannibals are not best pleased about this and so the story is basically a case of them rampaging through the streets killing everyone and everything involved in the arrest of their leader in the most inhumane of ways. Naturally they take the long way round which allows them to display a wide variety of gore and torture, but we wouldn't want or expect anything to the contrary. The scenes are that far fetched that that you don't know whether to laugh or be disgusted when people are getting their heads ridden over by ride on lawn mowers, or being gutted and forced to feast on their own intestines. The thing I like about this franchise is that it doesn't concentrate on always allowing good to necessarily triumph at the end which is so often the case in modern horrors. Let's face it, these films can always find a way to roll out another release regardless of how the previous one ended so good on them for not always killing the villains off. Personally I don't feel that this setting was as eerie or suited to the original story as it was much less secluded and out of line with where a 'Wrong Turn' might lead you, but this is just a minor detail in what they have developed in to yet another masterpiece of visual art and special effects. I feel excited that there is still a number 6 in the series to watch, but sad that the end of these movies will soon be upon me. Someone needs to start working on number 7 (ideally 8 and 9 too), and fast!

I wouldn't say that the Wrong Turn sequels are getting worse. They just seem to be bad in different ways. "Left for Dead" got the formula right but wasted it by devoting too much screen time to an obnoxious jerk that should have been killed first. "Bloody Beginnings" completely ditched the formula altogether, along with anything resembling a story, to focus on disgusting acts of torture. Which brings us to "Bloodlines". The movie started off promisingly by returning the mutants back to the woods and employing slasher violence again instead of torture. Unfortunately that's where the positives end. What makes this entry bad is that it is one of the worst things a horror movie can be; boring. It's impossible to care about anything going on in this movie because it's all just so dull. The chief issue is that the film's status as a prequel completely robs it of any suspense whatsoever since you know all the killers are going to survive. When you know that their existence in the original films means all the other characters must die, it just feels pointless to watch the movie at all. Even the deaths aren't enough to keep you from dozing off. They're not cleverly done and they suffer from bad CGI effects. I wish I could say that this film is the final nail in the franchise's coffin but there's yet another sequel after this one.

Maybe with good acting, a whole new cast, a whole new staff, a whole new plot and a new everything, this movie could of been somewhat decent.

They've finally come about that Wrong Turn has turned into a parody of itself, and this time it fits the description. but the ending is quite well-deserved.

Boasting a sadistic performance from genre icon Doug Bradley as the father of the inbreeding cannibalistic clan of villains, Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines continues the series' thrilling resurgence with a series of brutal kills and the always welcome setting around Halloween.

Wrong Turn 5 changes up the formula from Wrong Turn 4 by going from gore-sex-gore-sex to sex-gore-sex-gore. Ballsy move; still sucks ass.

This "franchise" may now have more useless sequels than any I have ever seen. Not sure who keeps green-lighting these awful train wrecks.
