Comic Adam Conover, a cast member and writer at the popular comedy website CollegeHumor, brings his original online series to TV, expanding upon his efforts to poke fun at everyday things that people accept or assume without question. In the half-hour investigative comedy, Conover uses a not-quite-deadly combination of comedy, history and science to debunk widespread misconceptions about topics and ideas that are routinely taken for granted.

They want us to believe this is objective yet it's the antithesis. These people think their audience is stupid, and they might be right. See more 10/09/2019 This is another educational/entertaining season as Adam Conover continues to discuss common misconceptions while presenting them in a fun, humorous package. Unfortunately, this season does mostly dump the continuing story-lines or characters of previous seasons. I liked when there where is a bit of weight to Adam's character. As was slowly becoming the case last season, the writers are running out of unified multiple subjects that can fill up thirty minutes. This results in some pretty forced-together concepts. The episode Adam Ruins Murder only has one out of three sections that truly fits the subject. (Though, it is also one of the most entertaining episodes this season. Darkest one of the show.) On the other hand, we also have a couple episodes where the overall setting of the segment takes place. The episode Adam Ruins Little Bugs is the weakest this season, because the idea of having the episode take place around the scenario of cleaning up for a poorly written fancy party provides no real laughs at all. I really liked the finale Adam Ruins Himself, where the show criticizes itself. The final segment is surprisingly bold. Again, the show has a pretty strong comedic casting all around. Weird Al even guest stars as a sinister store owner. Though Emily Axford, who has played Adam's friend, is now busy with her own show, we do get to see her pop up a little in some quick info bits. Although, I don't feel the season has the glory of the first one, I still found this to be a little stronger than the second one. See more a a @AAAAAA521 09/12/2019 Used to be a good show, offering alternate facts and viewpoints to "common" knowledge. Now its just hacky and completely lacking in context See more 10/19/2018 "Dispels" misinformation is an interesting way to spell "spreads." While failing at anything even remotely resembling humor and with a smug smirk on his face all the while. Make no mistake, this guy may pass his thoughts off as facts, but a lot of it is pure opinion. See more Read all reviews
