Must Watch
This is a show that floored me. My breath was taken away by the acting, the plot, every part of it, and I watched it in one complete sitting, which is a rarity. Go to Full Review

After the Party has been billed by some as the best TV drama of the year. That might be overstating things a shade, but it is certainly excellent. Go to Full Review

Penny lives on red wine and hunks of cheese straight from the packet. Despite this, we're supposed to see her as the archetypal Strong Woman. I certainly don't want to see her murdered, but I can't see much reason to spend another hour in her company. Go to Full Review

The best thing about 'After the Party' is that it's not just a thriller about finding out who's lying, but a thoughtful exploration of power dynamics, memory, and the effects that silence can have. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

After the Party leaves your head spinning like you’ve had one drink too many and is as dark and relentless as a fierce hangover. Its truths and lies are both coated in ambiguity and it foists the uncomfortable question of belief directly onto you. Go to Full Review

Adele G @Adele Mar 10 Phenomenal acting in a story you can't look away from. See more Aitchy B @RT19515642 12/31/2024 Robyn Malcolm delivers a powerhouse performance in this fantastic kiwi drama. Her character is flawed and complex and the story is engrossing. Highly recommended. See more Matthew C @RT09680452 12/13/2024 Superb writing, and top notch performances in this gripping, suspenseful drama. Every moment of the show comes back relentlessly to the core questions of the drama - where is the line between right and wrong; what is real? See more Sara D @RT40529722 12/04/2024 I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this but became much more engrossing and suspenseful than I expected. It’s a sensitive subject storyline that is handled well with superb acting. I binge watched it without planning too because I did enjoy it so much and wanting to know what happened next. The only flaw is the ending, I get really frustrated by unresolved subplots and that does happen in- this fair warning. I typically won’t even watch a show/miniseries if I know this ahead of time but I’m still glad I did with this one. See more Liv G @RT04338689 11/29/2024 The show was good and the themes were handled well in my opinion. I wasn’t a massive fan of the ending felt like it wasn’t properly summarised and it was more hinted at an ending as opposed to showing a full summary. The issue I have with this programme was like just the unnecessary nudity from the lead character. It’s like they were obsessed with adding in topless scenes over and over — and this added nothing to the story. See more Read all reviews
