Couldn't last more than 10 minutes. The show made its Modern credentials and message quite clear when the Landladyboy made his appearance and so we checked out. The actress playing Tuppence is beautiful, although not a lot of chemistry between the Tommy & Tuppence characters. I was able to accept that Christie's entire premise had been discarded. I could even overlook the white, entitled rich guy father of the bride (oooh, I wonder who the killer is going to be -- the only plot twist here would be if the old white guy DIDN'T do it🙄) and the gruff but no doubt brilliant black detective girl boss, but when the flamboyant 'landlady' of the pub minced out from the shadows, I was done. Short man's haircut, big dots of rouge and 6 inch dangly earrings. Ugh. I didn't stick around to see the rest if the clichés and caricatures trotted out. Whomever is running the Christie estate should actually be ashamed of this.
