Ann H @RT10258986 2d Season 3 of America's Sweethearts was more about the social impact of satisfying America's public by making them 'more inclusive' in picking candidates and addressing the power of social media in shaping of their brand. Finglas and Trammell are having to "try out" new approaches to their coaching styles by being better listeners, being more verbally affectionate to the point of almost turning this show into one that already rode the edge of sickly sweetness into a hug-in and love-in affirmational overdose. You could see this was not in either Finglas's or Trammell's management style comfort zone at all. And I'm not sure this new management recipe is evolving from generational or social or a combo of both, but it made the season less interesting. The Dallas Cowboys haven't done well for decades. Netflix season 3 was the first time it was said that people are coming for the cheerleaders as much or more than the football team. Netflix and America's Sweethearts are playing the better game. I would have liked to see the background story of more cheerleaders of color. I’m from Dallas snd this high quality documentary makes me proud. The producers dramatically pigeon-holed 90% of coverage to rookies, and 5 of the 7 episodes to training camp alone. The first 2 seasons were smart to give a bird’s eye view of the whole culture and season dynamic, but S3 spent way too much time in tryouts. If a bite-sized 7 episodes wasnt bad enough, the first 15 minutes of the finale were so bizarre it felt like producers had absolutely no ideas or footage to use. See more Read all reviews
