The series examines the tragic events in forensic and meticulous detail, and it’s fascinating, graphic and unsettling. Go to Full Review

The programme will add little to your understanding if you watched other documentaries about the bombing... but it is aimed at an international audience for whom this will be a first in-depth look. Go to Full Review

This is not simply a police procedural -- and that strengthens it greatly. It is impressively comprehensive, taking in the political and media climate of the time. Go to Full Review

The methodical docuseries offers a slow and detailed reconstruction of what happened on 7/7 and its aftermath from various points of view. Go to Full Review

Attacking London: Hunting The 7/7 Bombers dispenses with most of the frills you see in docuseries about big events from the past and sticks to the facts. Given how devastating and scary the attacks were, that’s all that’s really needed. Go to Full Review

FF U Nov 7 Too much sympathy dedicated to the police regarding the murder of Jean Charles de Menezes, especially given the numerous investigations into police conduct since then. See more Alma F Jul 13 It’s just awful how they try to wash the police’s image after what they did to that poor innocent brazilian guy. I don’t know about the rest. My outrage didn’t allow me to continue watching this, to say the least, misguided sequence of events. I recommend the shooting of jean charles de menezes to see what is the police actually capable to do to innocents citizens in the name of the “war on terror”. F*** incapable it’s what they are See more BRizz 2 @TheMovieSearch Jul 6 Attack Unknown: Hunting the 7/7 Bombers is a 2025 limited documentary series that revisits the harrowing terrorist attacks that struck the United Kingdom on July 7, 2005. Through firsthand accounts, investigation breakdowns, and archival footage, the series aims to provide a comprehensive overview of both the events of the day and the manhunt that followed. The documentary does a commendable job of outlining the key figures involved in the attacks, their backgrounds, and how law enforcement and intelligence agencies pieced together the information to track down the individuals responsible. The direction, particularly in the first two episodes, is tight, impactful, and informative, pulling the viewer into the gravity of the events. However, the series suffers from its four-episode length. While the first half is compelling, the latter two episodes begin to lose momentum. Certain segments feel unnecessarily drawn out or repetitive, lacking the fresh insight or urgency needed to justify the extended runtime. This results in a slower pace that may challenge viewers’ attention spans, especially for those unfamiliar with the historical context. Despite this, the production value is solid, and the interviews are thoughtfully presented. It’s clear that the creators aimed to handle the sensitive subject matter with respect and care, while also educating audiences about the aftermath of one of the UK’s most tragic terror events. Verdict: While the series starts strong with gripping storytelling and thorough investigative detail, its excessive length ultimately hinders its impact. Worth watching for its historical importance—but perhaps best viewed in parts. See more Michael W @mawilps Jul 5 This crime docuseries was really good. The entire crew did a fantastic job on telling the story of the worst terrorist attack in London. It was very shocking, thrilling, and tragic. If you haven't seen this docuseries yet, check it out sometime. It's a definite must see. See more Sandra L Jul 3 I think this would have been much better without the added drama of the cinematography with bouncing sweeping cameras. The horror of the situation did not need to be hyped up. This was billed as a documentary but is more of a docusoap. See more Read all reviews
