Their world view is so narrow and narcissistic you are free to despise these mini-celebrities who have delusions of grandeur, influence and are as dumb as rocks. Therapy achieved. Go to Full Review

I think I lost a few brain cells after watching Byron Baes and maybe died a little inside as well. Go to Full Review

Perhaps the Byron Bay influencers who hated the very idea of this show were right, because the business of being an influencer is depicted here as intensely vapid. I felt my brain cells dying in real time … I hated this show so much. Go to Full Review

This attempt at social commentary about social media falls flat. Go to Full Review

Byron Baes is the ideal reality hate-watch, full of ridiculous drama, unintentionally funny exchanges, and cast members with almost zero self awareness. What more can you ask for? Go to Full Review

03/22/2022 As the world collapses ever further into unrest, economic inequality, climate change and general sh!tfukery, only a show like this can really capture the essence of "first world problems" attributed to people who's lives are completely disconnected from reality. Shows like this are normally scripted in order to add drama and create content but normally the script is acted to a decent pedigree making it somewhat believable... but barely. This show does not even get that far. I could talk about how stupid the story lines were (and fucking hell, weren't they just) but im just going to talk about somethings that stood out for me. The characters in the show keeping talking about a culture relating to the geographical area of Byron. Apparently Byron has its own way of dressing, has its own spiritual awareness and way of being and (apparently) not everyone can be included in that (Because they're not Byron and they dont just accept anyone) There were a lot of references made about the "gold coast" who are other "influencers" but not the kind you can respect because they dont wear knickers on dates. As an outsider - You're all trash to me so I just laughed harder) The characters in the show apparently "work" but honestly, its so obvious that they dont/are not involved in the stuff they're promoting. My favourite parts of the episodes is where they would get together and proclaim it was a "party" and basically it would just be all 9 of them and a few extra's added in - so barely anyone there for some real drama. Jade, a character who was an over-dramatic gay man caricature incorporated (no offence to gay men) randomly had this product launch (think it was for skin) and I just felt so awkward for him coz only about 20 people were there and he's suppose to be an influencer but i think its for fashion, not skin products, so it doesnt add up. I have to make comment on the twilight story they included though. 2 guys who meet the tick box list for "hollywood type attractiveness" fight over a typically skinny, untalented and spineless woman called sarah who's trying to make it as a singer but spends most of her time going to these 20 people parties and getting into fights over... I dont even remember lol There is this really awkward scene where Nathan takes her out on a date and you can see there is no chemistry at all, he start's messing with her necklace saying its "tangled" and then, with his freakishly large hands, manhandles her head into giving him a kiss (at the bar may i add) and then does this again as they are leaving the restaurant. It's extremely cringe and looks forced (for both of them) - Being a trashy show with about 9 episodes I can tell you that they are "falling for each other" by the 6/7th episode and you never hear them discuss hobbies, dreams, music, things they like, common interests etc haha This review is a plea to spare humanity anymore of this kind of stuff. We're going through enough atm to not need your streaming pile of trash "docu-soaps" that will only be looked back on as a reflection of how narcissistic human's have become. It's embarrassing to know there are people out there who think of themselves as socially relevant/influential because they're in possession of modern technology and social media platforms. They promote lifestyles that they dont live to people who want to believe that one day, they too can be economic freeloaders who are looked up to for being so "insightful" The children of rich people really do have the most potential to be the biggest drains on the world. They're failed people. Had they been born into average households then maybe they could have been saved from being so unbearably mediocre. Imagine spending your life like this and thinking you're living to your best potential, it could almost be comic if it wasn't such a tragic waste of human minds. This show was not even worth the hate watch. I give it 2/10 - One point for ending it at 9/10 episodes and 1 point for cramming as many cliches as you can into those episodes. Truly rotten. See more 03/20/2022 Should be called Byron Bullies... This could have been a chance to lift these 'influencers' up and not make fun of them. As for the bullying... Sarah took alot of stick!!! See more kimberly g @RT27243194 03/20/2022 Loved this show. Beautiful looking people and beautiful scenery. Has a Mean Girls (and boys) element throughout. See more 03/17/2022 This is some sort of perverse US style reality show, with a cast of characters who are so unattractive, v unpleasant, and so busy trying to assure us that they are/ should be important. I know B Bay very well, both the old and the new, but have never ever met people as shallow as this. Netflix seems heavily invested in the notion that influencers now rule the world. Shows like this will ensure the failure of this strategy. See more Read all reviews
