See more 01/28/2022 The theme of teens feeling disenfranchised and then discovering special powers or information is not new and is popular for a reason. But this show's clunky and lazy writing, combined with wooden and disengaged acting, gives us no reason to care about any of the characters. The writing is so bad that character reactions to situations, like a bad boyfriend, are completely contradictory from scene to scene. Only one actor, Andrea Heick Gadeberg, is rising slightly above the ennui, but her efforts won't be enough to save this show from sinking. At first, I attributed part of the issue to the absolutely awful English language dubbing that rendered any facial emotion null and void, but even after muting and only using the subtitle option, I was left believing that none of the actors are invested in this show enough to put in an effort.
