What to Know

Critics Consensus

Resurrecting Charlie Cox's Daredevil with his virtues intact -- namely Vincent D'Onofrio as his terrifying adversary -- Born Again is an ambitious and at times ungainly crime saga that marks a mature tonal shift for the MCU.

This season delivers — and that feels like justice. Go to Full Review

In the end, Born Again suggests, what makes Daredevil interesting isn’t his abilities -- superpowered and otherwise. It’s how, in his ongoing quest to better understand himself, he’s as human as anyone else. Go to Full Review

I'm not sure the first season of Daredevil: Born Again completely delivers on all those necessities... But it does better than an awful lot of disappointing recent film and TV efforts. Go to Full Review

It does not only stands as the best Marvel production of Phases 4 and 5 of the MCU, but also as one of the company’s greatest creative achievements since the debut of Kevin Feige’s macro narrative project in 2008 with Iron Man. Go to Full Review

Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio are the best hero/villain combination in the Marvel universe, and continue to have dynamic chemistry. Go to Full Review

I really enjoyed the show even though I didn’t expect to. I couldn’t stop watching. Daredevil: Born Again has a very down-to-earth vibe, and often doesn’t even feel like a superhero show. More like a legal procedural. Go to Full Review

Jaycen D. @JDtheGoat 2d This was unexpectedly bonkers from the jump. Wow, I honestly don’t have words. This was an amazing surprise, possibly better than the first Netflix Daredevil season to me. Just so many great characters, action sequences, villains, everything just really worked with Born Again season 1 outside of that divisive and rocky start. I legitimately can’t wait for Born Again season 2. See more bob T @RT89536276 4d This was an amazing surprise, didn't expect it to be as good as it was. See more Daniel E. @daneastco Mar 8 First - I cannot believe Disney + is peddling this? Why not just put it on Marvel or anything but the Disney brand. The show itself is silly. Fisk is gurgling and growling worse than ever. It’s a relief Foggy was - uh - removed from the show but they missed removing Karen as she still can’t act. Needlessly dark and too much gore. The chief of police scene - again - can’t believe this is Disney. It seems there’s no end to the Fisk and Daredevil war so why tune in again for more of the same? I’m out. See more L A. @sharkflick Mar 7 I love the original version on Netflix. I was worried when this season started. (Because of where it’s currently located.) so my expectations was low. I’m glad it was low. Because, I was personally blown away by the story behind this series. Though, I do read some comics stories lines. I was still impressed. In short! I’m looking forward to the next chapter. Was there some disagreements in this season. Sure. But, as it is. The writers who wrote this. Out did themselves. Looking forward to watching the next season if I can. If not. I can wait a year or more. See more Christopher W. @USCGrad4 Feb 28 Perhaps the best show in the MCU. Like the original, this reboot / sequel is dark, haunting, and leaves you wrestling along with the protagonists in the best way. Also, this season storyline being released in 2025 feels troublingly prophetic. See more Gareth V @geewah Feb 25 Daredevil: Born Again is good, sometimes very good, but not quite great. The character work and tone carry it, and when it hits, it really hits. The direction it has taken since it's last airing is considerably darker in both story and tone, and Born Again is all the better for it. See more Read all reviews
