Death Comes to Pemberley: Season 1 (2013)
Critic Consensus: It doesn't benefit from begging comparisons to more established examples of the genre, but Death Comes to Pemberley still offers enough entertainment for period murder-mystery fans.
Tv Season Info
Even if this isn't precisely the sequel to Pride and Prejudice we might have wanted, it's better than no sequel at all.
The miniseries gets the Austen part just right. There have probably been too many straightforward movie and TV adaptations of her novels. Death Comes to Pemberley is a refreshing break from plain Jane.
I am sorry to report that the two-part Death Comes to Pemberley... is thoroughly and frustratingly middling.
The BBC's three-parter, Death Comes To Pemberley, a sort of sequel to Jane Austen's Pride And Prejudice, was rather fun until death did come to Pemberley, at which point it became a murder mystery, and possibly a little less fun...
A devilishly good whodunit by P.D. James that is a sequel to Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice.
