It's set in a world where cavemen, dinosaurs, iron age humans, Vikings, Celts, magic etc. all live together. Where Season 1 is largely comprised of disjointed episodes that have little correlation to each other, Season 2 focuses on locating Mira who was kidnapped at the end of the first season and her subsequent rescue. There is one notable exception as the episode 'Primal Theory' jumps to 1890 England and feels really out of place in the season. The rest of the episodes are pretty good, not as good as the first season but still entertaining, but I did not care for the season's finale which was not only improbable but kind of silly. Overall Tartakovsky's second season of Primal was definitely entertaining and worth a watch.
