Homes in the suburbs look nearly identical from the outside, but the inside is what reflects a family's distinct sense of style. In Southern California, designer/contractor Jasmine Roth transforms builder-basic homes from cookie cutter to custom. Her hands-on approach and love of design -- sparked in her youth by building treehouses, sheds and furniture with her dad -- brings out the hidden potential in each project. Jasmine creates functional, personalized layouts by knocking down walls and retrofitting spaces to meet homeowners' specific needs. She incorporates cozy touches -- like custom wall murals or patio swings -- and spruces up exteriors with stone accents and light, bright touches.
