Ana Sofia Calderon stars on a Latino soap opera packed full of the hot sex, shocking scandals and gut-wrenching heartbreak expected from the genre, but as it turns out, the real drama doesn't start until the cameras stop rolling. Backstage, the actress and her family of fellow cast and crew all battle for the spotlight. From difficult network executives and drunken scriptwriters to narcissistic co-stars and the introduction of an all-too-familiar onscreen love interest, there's never a dull moment.

Still, this is Longoria's show all the way and she's never been better. Her physical comedy is on point; her timing is impeccable; and even when Ana Sofia is supposed to look bedraggled, Longoria remains radiant. Go to Full Review

If nothing else, it will make you laugh at the nonsense of it all, and that's a good thing. A very good thing. Go to Full Review

Take a genre that's easily mocked and mock it - not much art in that. At least, not as it's done here. Go to Full Review

The show offers a playful take on the world of Mexican soap operas. It is witty, insightful, fun and definitely unique in its setting. Go to Full Review

While Telenovela might not strive to be high art, who is asking it to go above and beyond? Sure, there is a lot of intelligent comedy out there, but sometimes you just want a show where the laughs are a bit obvious and the guys are pretty to look at. Go to Full Review

03/14/2016 It's just not funny. Writing is terrible. Acting is terrible. I love Eva Longoria, but that wasn't enough to keep me interested. See more 02/22/2016 Very funny, cheek-in-tongue new series - I'd love to see it go in. See more 01/12/2016 One of the creators is Robert Harling, known for Steel Magnolias and Soapdish, two of the greatest repositories of one-liners ever. This show is charming and quick and filled with some of the best actors around. Family-friendly fun. Eva is HILARIOUS and I'm so proud of her. We need more fun like this on TV. See more 01/11/2016 Pretty terrible to watch. Stereotypes abound. 2D characters. See more 01/11/2016 There is no reason this is made except pandering to Latinas. They deserve better. See more 01/08/2016 Not funny. Watched the pilot and didn't laugh once. Too bad. A lot of talented actors but the writing just falls flat. See more Read all reviews
