I was SO disappointed it wasn't about Dharby anymore☹️ I had been looking forward to the season only to find it's a whole new person and story.

What a shame. It only took 3 minutes to giagnise the real reason that this show was made. From the outset is clear that this show was made to encourage votes for the black lives matter organisation . The first season of the show was pragmatic outrageously funny and drenched in some of the best character development I've ever experienced in a TV show. It's with the heaviest heart that I have to say that this second series is an absolute obismal joke. The dialog is a thick minefield of political propaganda, fuelled bye racist slurs making the idea of being a white person feel like a heavy burden. With quotes like do you ever google white babies all I knew I was gonna be ashamed when you went with a white woman What an absolute feast of trash.

William Jackson Harper is so good! Super compelling character that Harper plays beautifully. His charisma is so rooted in his vulnerability. And the writing is often real, sharp and funny af. That said, some of the characters that orbit him are wooden and predictable. And the voiceover narrator is intrusive—no offense to Keith David, he's golden—but at times it actually undermines the story.

This season didn't hold my attention the same way the first season did, but William Jackson Harper's performance makes it worth watching. Like the first season, the story remains honest to the not so attractive parts of dating culture, as well as the more beautiful little moments we experience.
