The series boasts two remarkable performances by actresses far better known in the U.K. than here, though the interplay of the sisters -- and the gap between them -- is familiar enough... This sibling dynamic feels true. Go to Full Review

Anya S @AnyaS Jan 1 Mushy melodrama with ebbs and flows of emotions as secrets are unveiled. Nothing new. Good acting. See more Bob S @aremes 05/17/2024 Oh good grief. What film were the critics watching? This is very little more than a Hallmark movie, with the interesting addition of a death dula. We've had characters with two separate families before. We've had bickering sisters before. We've had marital problems before. And of course everything gets resolved, as before. We've had almost everything before, and done better See more Alan M @RT07378434 06/04/2023 Typical melodrama about two sisters unhappy with their lives dealing with their mother's death and hidden life. Suranne Jones is once again trapped in a life with a husband she has come to despise blaming him for her despair and boredom and once again it's heads he's to blame or tails he's to blame wether the husband is faithful or unfaithful which is the norm in today's dramas.
