Season Two begins in roughly the same place, but shows enough growth as it moves along to give me some optimism that Riordan and everyone else are starting to figure out how to translate what's worked so well in print to the small screen. Go to Full Review

In a darker Season 2, which boasts much higher stakes for the trio, Rick Riordan’s expansive world is only getting juicier and more robust. Go to Full Review

One of the best parts about Percy Jackson and the Olympians is that Annabeth takes central stage in this season. Go to Full Review

Season 2 remains engaging enough for kids and adults to enjoy together, instead of of leaning too far to make one leave the room. This show continues to make use of its expanded time by fleshing out its robust ensemble. Go to Full Review

S02 is an improvement on the film in every way, including the depth of characterization for the central trio, the great depiction of Tyson, and a fantastic episode featuring Circe. If only Mr. D and Tantalus weren't here Go to Full Review

Melchizedek Franz Noval S @Melchizedek Aug 9 Sea of Monsters has always been a favorite, and this season brings it to life really well. Season 2 is bigger and more ambitious than the first, with higher stakes, more mythology, and a stronger sense of a larger world for Percy and his friends. Walker Scobell continues to shine as Percy, now even more confident in the role. The trio of Percy, Annabeth, and Grover remains a highlight, and Tyson is a great addition, especially in his bond with Percy. The adventure is fun and fast-paced, balancing action with character moments while keeping that classic "what crazy mythological thing happens next" energy. I also really liked how much this season focuses on family, friendship, identity, and what it means to belong adds real emotional weight. There are still some pacing issues, but overall it feels more confident and expansive than Season 1. It still absolutely feels like Percy Jackson—full of humor, heart, mythology, and chaotic adventure. See more lili L @lililersa Aug 3 a continued lesson on ruining a series. See more Scarlett T @RT12561618 Jul 17 They removed a lot of scenes and added a couple of different ones which wasn't to bad to be fair and considering the fact that they didn't have a high budget like a lot of movies do, it's really good. Percy jackson is my favourite franchise and it's an amazing show. I wish they hadn't changed thalias plot though and I would have loved to see the dogeball scene but the circe episode and sirens were perfect See more Jayne F @RT56904321395 Jul 17 It's not working as well for me as S1 did, and S1 already felt rushed/compressed to me as a book reader (but still better than the movie). I'd initially assumed we were getting hour long episodes, and I think the 35-40 minute runtimes are sort of crushing the story space a lot. See more Marci M @Marci567 Jul 17 It’s just okay. The money spent is clearly shown on the screen and the casting/performances are on point. Compared to the source material, however, the story feels generic and watered down. A lot of the humor is gone and it feels like the script was put through a Disney filter to make sure it appeals to as many people as possible, while diminishing the entertainment factor.
