Race: Bubba Wallace gave me a greater respect for Wallace as a person and as a driver, presenting the difficulties of his sport in a way I havent really seen before. Go to Full Review

Most moving is the personal time spent with Wallace himself. He opens up about the pressure to win as NASCAR’s only Black driver, and the stress and newfound fame he feels from being a part of racing’s social justice movement. Go to Full Review

Overall, Race: Bubba Wallace contains lots of uncomfortable, but important, discussions, but successfully contextualizes them within a personal story about working hard and rising up against adversity, whether it be on a race track, or in everyday life. Go to Full Review

03/18/2022 Being a die hard Nascar fan and a millennial, I was very extremely excited to watch a Nascar show similar to Drive to Survive. Unfortunately, the show was so bad that I made it half way through the third episode before I turned it off for good. It's just another social justice documentary. I'm actually a fan of Bubba, but only following one mid-pack (at best) driver and making 80% of the episode about skin color just isn't entertaining. The only reason I didn't give it one star is because the small amount of racing, on and off the track, they cover is good quality. Other than that it just feels like a regurgitation of every social justice media network. Netflix, please give race fans a show about RACING. See more Michael W @mawilps 03/06/2022 This documentary series was really good. The entire crew did a fantastic job in bringing this amazing story to life. This inside look of the NASCAR driver Darrell "Bubba" Wallace was inspirational, dramatic, and interesting. It's about a man who was willing to stand up for what he believes in, never backs down, and never gives up on his dream. If you're a Netflix member, you should watch this documentary series sometime. It's a definite must see. See more 03/04/2022 Solid racing series to keep me going until the new season of drive to survive. As to the supposed hoax of the noose, it's obviously address in the show. And it's not really a spoiler to say that it obviously wasn't a hoax. See more Read all reviews
