Many have attempted to describe what happiness is, but few (if any) have found where it is. In this five-part documentary series, actor Rainn Wilson travels the world and explores what makes some places happier than others. As a self-described mope, Rainn has a deeply personal interest in unlocking the secrets to happiness. On his journey, this former Assistant to the Regional Manager isn't simply a host -- he's a globetrotting, soul-searching happiness warrior with a propensity for the quirky, reflective and downright bizarre.

Wilson's candid conversations about his own struggles are impressive and real. His tender affection for outsiders who've risked their safety in the name of self-expression is touching. Go to Full Review

I figured that Peacock’s Rainn Wilson and the Geography of Bliss might be only for avid fans of The Office... I was wrong, and The Geography of Bliss is yet another playful way to travel from the comfort (and inexpensiveness) of your own couch. Go to Full Review

Amir M 12/05/2023 very fun show I loved the thailand episode the most See more Brian L 05/22/2023 Rainn Wilson's inherent everyday man persona lends itself well to his search for what it is to be happy. However, based on his Thailand episode, specifically, I suspect a good deal of it is perhaps overly simplistic. I've lived in Thailand for 26 years as an expat and while much of what he showed is true as far as it goes, it was a 2 dimensional view of how Thais approach happiness and life, in general. His sampling of people was necessarily small. But, geographically I was disappointed that he stayed in one small section of the country. This led me to conclude that his explorations in the other locales (Iceland, Bulgaria, Ghana and LA) were also perhaps too narrow and selective to have quite the significance he was going for. It was a breezy enjoyable bit of entertaining self-reflection. But, it ended up not being really very deep and I suspect it won't be long-lasting. Unless, of course he's planning a season 2 and a more in-dept follow-up. See more Kendra B 05/21/2023 Absolutely incredible show. I cried multiple times, and have been reevaluating how I see life and seek happiness. The world needed this! Season 2?! See more Matt F 05/19/2023 Really inspiring, insightful and frankly more than I bargained for. Expected an amusing travel show and was taken on a thought provoking introspective journey. Edit - until the last episode, holy crap are those dumbass influencers completely out of touch with how their narcissism is perpetuating unsustainable standards of beauty and fame, contributing directly to the unhappiness of their peers.
