Carmen is a 19-year-old who is a slave and a witch. She has fallen for a white man, which is a crime that has her scheduled to be burned at the stake. She receives salvation, though, when an old wizard offers her the ability to jump in time to a place where nobody believes in witches. She agrees to not use any of her powers in exchange for the time-traveling, so she is transported to modern-day Colombia. There, she starts a new life, meets new friends and even goes to college. But one constant remains -- once a witch, always a witch.

t has gifted us with perhaps the most sensational black witch to appear onscreen. Go to Full Review

Unfortunately, the show's creators and producers keep their lead actress -a stunning dark-skinned Afro-Colombian woman-caged into an absurd love-conquers-all storyline with a man whose family literally owns her. Go to Full Review

Gone is our hope to see a powerful Black woman in charge of her own life. Instead, we get a series that celebrates colonialism and slavery to such a degree that our lead, the only Black woman in this main cast, wants to be a slave again. WHAT IS THIS? Go to Full Review

D L @DaturaDreamer Jan 19 Me encantalo! See more Mario M @RT21354647 08/05/2022 the main character ate See more 04/05/2020 it's worth it, give it a chance See more 03/01/2020 This show has potential to be good because there is a lot that could be done with story line. Its cute and magical, but the writing is literally awful. The stuff the characters do is dumb, the writers make then unbelievably naive and it just comes off annoying. Acting isn't that great either. All in all good concept, but terribly written and acted, I had to turn off it was too cheesy lol See more jay b @RT33945776 12/27/2019 Very entertaining, not really meant for anyone wanting to see a serious show or willing to suspend belief on many levels. Its probably more for adolescents or early twenties than for adults because it is a whole lot about the loyalty of friendships See more Read all reviews
