It’s remarkable how much Strange New Worlds is able to accomplish in so little time. It helps that the episodes are 15-20 minutes longer than the Nineties shows got to deploy. Mostly, though, it’s that this creative team has a strong grasp on its crew.

Fans of the first season know the quality of this show and the second season does not look to disappoint. Answering cliffhangers in its own time, the show focuses on the characters and is better for it.

Strange New Worlds: A Musical Farce, Not Star Trek While the visuals are polished, Strange New Worlds has become a parody of itself. It lacks the professional dignity of the TNG/DS9 era and replaces intellectual depth with "cringe" comedy. The absolute breaking point is the musical episode, featuring dancing and singing Klingons. Transforming a warrior race defined by honor and strength into a Boyband-style joke is an absolute insult to 40 years of established canon. It’s not "bold"—it’s a mockery that destroys the cultural integrity of the franchise. The show feels like it’s written by people who find the source material embarrassing and want to turn it into a shallow sitcom. If you value the serious, well-thought-out world of the classics, stay away. This is "Disney-fied" Trek for people who don't care about internal consistency. Verdict: Singing Klingons? Enough is enough. The intelligence of the series has officially left the galaxy.

Captures the spirit of TOS like no other Trek in the franchise. Anson Mount is incomparable as Pike and Ethan Peck has made Spock his own, onlv Nimoy portrays the character better. These are the continuing voyages of the Starship Enterprise, and we are very lucky indeed to have them.
