Ultimately, despite some nice flourishes – Shah Rukh’s cameo is a hoot, but he has been edgier and funnier before — the Ba***ds of Bollywood is simply not self-aware, and yes, not fun enough. Go to Full Review

Between the strugglers trying to break in, the moguls pulling the strings, and the happy endings sprinkled like confetti, there’s enough juice to keep you bingeing. Go to Full Review

Aryan Khan’s directorial debut is an incisive look at what goes on behind the scenes of a Bollywood film production. Go to Full Review

Since it is mostly about Bollywood scandals and what happens behind the scenes, it is entertaining, but not sharp or immersive. Go to Full Review

pranav v @RT97744983 Dec 13 The Bads of Bollywood is sharp, self-aware satire that takes aim at the Hindi film industry from the inside. Aryan Khan walks the fine line between mockery and realism with confidence, delivering a show that’s funny, biting, and surprisingly grounded. Through the rise (and derailment) of a young actor navigating nepotism, power plays, and industry hypocrisy, the series balances humor with uncomfortable truths. Strong performances, clever gags, polished visuals, and Bollywood-coded references make it deeply rewarding for those in the know. While the finale stumbles with rushed twists and overblown action, the journey remains engaging and refreshingly bold. See more Jaman 1 @RT98875646 Nov 3 Great Series.. Enjoyed it thoroughly.. Good Work Aryan BEST OF LUCK FOR THE FUTURE. See more Gurbir S @RT23053086 Oct 20 Extremely well made show. Couldn't find a flaw tbh. It's a rarity to see a superstar kid to hit it out of the park on debut. Well done. See more Numair H @NumairHaider Oct 14 A fresh experience full of homages, comedy, and good storytelling. Aryan Khan’s debut series, I was so skeptical after all the trailers and teasers, being the most powerful debut of Bollywood in a long time, I was pleasantly surprised. Keep in mind, I don’t follow a lot of Bollywood, so to think even I fully enjoyed and understood the references in this series should speak volumes about how good it is. So many cool cameos, great callbacks to classic Bollywood, and a beautiful love letter to Farah Khan’s filmography, this series got it all. The classic brain-rot comedy was presented in the most uncensored manner was something I never knew Bollywood needed this badly. It reminded me a lot of The Studio and Seth Rogen’s unhinged comedy, which is the best way to describe this series. It is so much bigger and limitless than you first realize, and I’m happy the budget went to the right places. All in all, this series is a must-watch for all Bollywood watchers and casuals alike, and gives me so much hope for the next generation of Bollywood, be it nepo kids or not. PROS: - Good Story telling. - Not relying on Cameos to sell the show. - Cool references (real life and classic Bollywood.) - Right amount of CGI. CONS: - You might miss some subtle jokes and arcs if you don’t watch Bollywood. - The ending, although fresh, did spoil the buildup for me. SCORE: 8/10 See more Aun M @AunMohammad Oct 11 good start of Aryan Khan as debuted . The series is full of fun, entertainment as well as true face of Bollywood behind the camera. It shows the struggling and hope of new comer who faces politics of Bollywood and mafias. Everything in the series is good except too much bad words and abuse. There is too much swearing in this series, and sometimes even unnecessary swearing and foul language is used. Perhaps this is a dirty way for Bollywood directors and actors to get high TPR on Netflix and show themselves as mature. Otherwise, there are also English series in which there is no foul language or swearing. Season 1 is enough. See more Sharang L @Scribe187 Oct 10 Shows potential for some zany humour but it gets overshadowed by awful profanities that only the makers seem to find funny. Also, tonal shifts are too jarring. There were plenty of opportunities to turn this into an insider's take on Bollywood foibles. It's a pity that Khan aimed so low. See more Read all reviews
