A young chef from the fine dining world comes home to Chicago to run his family sandwich shop after a heartbreaking death in his family. A world away from what he's used to, Carmy must balance the soul-crushing realities of small business ownership, his strong-willed and recalcitrant kitchen staff and his strained familial relationships, all while grappling with the impact of his brother's suicide. As Carmy fights to transform both the shop and himself, he works alongside a rough-around-the-edges kitchen crew that ultimately reveals itself as his chosen family.

Few shows are as visceral, grounded, and hypnotic as The Bear, watching each episode is akin to getting a shot of adrenaline. With sharp dialog, propulsive direction + edgy characters, this is episodic TV at its finest.

A visual and directive masterpiece. The Story is great and the flow works perfectly. Some episodes were a little confusing because they are in the past or somewhere else. This could have been fixed with simple subtitles. One of my favorite storylines and connections are the one of carm with the bakery boy and the bakery boy teaching carms baker. And the restaurant teaching carms cousin how fancy stuff works. Such great character development.

Of course, the performers acting was stellar. The plot and character development on point. I just could not get past all the awful terrible music, which was quite distracting.
