Superheroes are often as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians, and sometimes even as revered as gods. But that's when they're using their powers for good. What happens when the heroes go rogue and start abusing their powers? When it's the powerless against the super powerful, the Boys head out on a heroic quest to expose the truth about the Seven and Vought, the multibillion-dollar conglomerate that manages the superheroes and covers up their dirty secrets. Based on the comic book series of the same name.

What to Know

Critics Consensus

The Boys stays true to its form and completes its mission with ample panache, narrative pay-off, and an excess of blood and guts to deviously glorious effect.

While the political satire doesn’t always land, diabolism prevails -- The Boys will be The Boys.

The Boys’ latest comeback is proving to be promising, though, in a way that bodes well for the conclusion of a series that once felt profane, fresh, and exciting. Go to Full Review

The show’s fifth and final season has a familiar structure... But it stays strong – there’s even more gore and screw-loose social media commentary. Go to Full Review

The Boys used to feel like catharsis. Now it feels like the worst history lesson ever. It's a drag. Go to Full Review

Tessa R @Tes101 1d After 4 seasons this mess is how it all ends, it's basically a long ad for Ackles spin off show, Homelander is a side act in a show that is supposed to be about him and his possible downfall. See more Steve A @ProxyDoppel 1d More plot holes than swiss cheese. The penultimate episode yet this season has made nearly 0 progress towards wrapping up the numerous plot lines See more Allan M @RT67188785 1d Few people forget to think about the true message this series originally set out to convey to the masses. This isn’t just another series from Marvel or The CW. To a large extent, people’s expectations were centred on the fact that this is the final season. Let’s be honest, doing anything perfectly is extremely difficult. I suggest we simply give this series a chance to leave its mark on history, as a phenomenon that, in one way or another, deserves attention. See more Patrick M @RT97390562 1d With only one episode to go, nothing has actually happened except for one person dying. This season has been extremely disappointing. If it was shown at a cinema, I'd be asking for my money back and Garth Ennis should be asking Eric Kripke to give the audience any reimbursement he can back on this season. Kripke, I don't know what you're going to do tomorrow (It's Tuesday here) but it better be a miracle because there's pretty much no saving this season. See more Mike O @RT20917020 1d It had good moments. I guess you could say that the satire is on the nose, but man... they massacred characters. And I don't mean it literally. Like what's the deal with Kimiko? It's like since she got back her voice, she talks like a 13 year old who discovered cursing. WHY????? She had normal conversations in sign language, why would she suddenly talk like a tiktok kid? It doesn't make any sense what so ever. Ryan's character had a HUGE build up over the seasons just to have nothing to do with the story. Same with Soldier boy. Great actors, but I think Amazon rushed the production so much, that the story became sloppy, inconsistent and all together not so good. I won't say its bad, because it's really not, but come on... Why would they put a 4 minute ass sniffing scene in the 7th episode? That was the worst episode in the entire season imo. See more Eugene B. @RT51025021 1d Satire at its finest. For some people it hits too close to home , thus the bad reviews lol Great show, cant wait for finale See more Read all reviews
