At each location -- including Johannesburg, Lapland, Rotterdam, Stuttgart Whitby, Scotland, California, Nashville and Dubai -- the team films inside their giant traveling tent instead of a studio. In amazing places around the world, the hosts attempt extraordinary things, like becoming special forces soldiers at a secret training base, taking a powerful car on a test track, and going on the traditional gentleman's tour of Italy.

Jan V @RT50475020 09/13/2024 I used to HATE Top Gear, and would have hated The Grand Tour when I was still in my "I must hate this and that..." student phase. Actually watching an episode of Top Gear made me realize how wrong I was. It's solid television that is just FUN. Same with The Grand Tour: Three fun guys on a road trip with amazing visuals and jokes that might or might not land. In the end it's all about the chemistry, and these three had that like few others do. I used to be a big fan but as of episode 3 this season they're really phoning it in. Same old jokes. Same footage. None of the pzazz of prior seasons and episodes. Looks like Jeremy gave up on the Ozempic. And we get a little global warming fearmongering from him. It gives you an idea of how tired this series has become when Jeremy starts sounding like Greta. No, that town is not being reclaimed by the desert due to global warming. The Sahara was much larger in the Last Glacial Maximum, when the earth was a heck of a lot colder.
