Critic Reviews for The Hardy Boys: Season 1
Audience Reviews for The Hardy Boys: Season 1
-
May 18, 2022This was so witty, and entertaining
-
Mar 17, 2022That shit was live, unexpected secrets that kept the audience engaged.
-
Feb 20, 2022Great family series that revisits a time when life was less technically inclined but just as eventful! No worries of inappropriate scenes, topics, or innuendoes and filled with all the thrills and suspense of a modern day mystery! Definitely a must see for the whole family! Entertainment that spans the generations bringing everyone together!
-
Feb 16, 2022Loved it - only complaint is how long it's taken for season 2 to arrive!
-
Oct 15, 2021Really fun show. Feels like a kind of good old fashioned mystery (just like the old novels) but at the same time has modern sensibilities. Silly at parts, touching at others, but it was fun to watch all the way through and the mystery kept me intrigued.

Jun 17, 2021While the plot of the first series was decent, as a Hardy Boys book fan, the show doesn't do the novel series justice. It's tried to turn the iconic name into just another teenage drama show, centered around magic, which lacks key elements of what makes the Hardy Boys, the Hardy Boys. Plus, which normally is a focus of the two brothers solving mysteries, the producers decided to turn it into a "Riverdale" style of a teenage group of detectives. Also, the age gap of the brothers is way off which distorts the relationship between them from what it originally was.
-
Apr 06, 2021The show had a slow build but as it goes on it becomes an exciting, charming, sweet ride. The actors playing Frank and Joe are phenomenal. The 80's period is not shoved down our throats like other shows and movies. I wish there wasnt that awful CW Nancy Drew, because I would have loved to see what the creators of this would do with her. Heres hoping for season 2.
-
Feb 25, 2021Episode 1 - Yeah, this seems like a pretty nice "80's" old school mystery show, inline with the books I grew up with. Episode 2 - Still pretty ok, but it's turning into something else.. Episode 3 - OK - now we are in Scooby-Doo territory......
-
Feb 17, 2021Better than I expected. Even though characters are teenagers it didn't give off that TEEN SHOW feel
-
Jan 31, 2021While the acting and script in the Hardy Boys leaves a lot to be desired at times, the two leads are at their best when they're on-screen together, and the show does a great job of capturing the mildly vintage feel of the franchise.
