Without exaggeration, it’s a joyful and exciting return to a world where magic and magical entities pose a danger to the world, only to be defeated by the Library team’s super resourcefulness and powers of research. Age of the geek, indeed. Go to Full Review

The show knows exactly what it is: a low-stakes adventure series with heart and humor, and just enough nostalgia on offer to keep longtime fans invested. Go to Full Review

Blue T @NK2011 Mar 8 There has been many cringe shots in this series that at times make me want to roll my eyes. But it is watchable. However, it lacked that thing that I liked in the previous librarian productions. To take a the first series as a good example: that one had relatively low quality effects at times, but I always admired that many of the artifacts were based on existing myths and although some creative liberty was taken, effort seemed to also have been taken to stay true to the original stories of the objects and the magic. This series was different when it came to that: the effects were definitely better, but not just a little creative liberty was taken, but all the creative liberty was taken. Artifacts and historical figures were invented, and even a whole new modern-day country was invented. It felt like this production simply had money thrown towards it and left it at that. I really hope for the next season, they will take their time to research existing myths, historical figures, and conspiracy theories and try to stay as true to those as the narrative allows. Just to spark that sense of wonder for existing human stories in the audience. And also I hope they talk to experts rather than AI, to make sure that staying true to the original myth does not boil down to staying true to ChatGPT's hallucination. You've got great potential making a sequal for one of the most amazing franchises if you ask me. Please get your priorities straight before just spending a lot of money: 1. stay true to the original myths, 2. strong characters and good actors, and only after that, at the very end, start worrying about making the special effects look good. This series felt like it was made with reversed priorities. See more ken g @RT05456592 Aug 19 This is one of the dumbest shows I've ever seen. The story line is lame, the acting is terrible. The only reason I tried watching it is because Jessica Green is beautiful, but not even she can save this mess. See more Read all reviews
