A Librarian -- a custodian of a magical repository of the world's most powerful and dangerous supernatural artifacts -- from the past travels to the present and finds himself unable to return to his own time. When he returns to his castle, which is now a museum, he inadvertently releases magic across the continent. In order to set things right, he is given a new team of Librarians to help him clean up the mess he made.

Star Heart P @starheartpack Sep 12, 2026 Amazing start to a new show in The Librarians franchise! Each of the 4 core characters, as well as the annex caretaker, are unique and interesting. It's so easy to become attached to each and every one of them. Lysa is similar to Cassandra from the original The Librarians series, but with plenty that is new about her and compelling. Connor's path to The Library is interesting and at times heartbreaking. Vikram is a man out of time and the actor plays that so well. Charlie was born to be a Guardian and that's very evident. From the start the team chemistry between these 4 is strong and makes you want to see more. Elaine is also wonderful as the caretaker, and so much more than she seems to be. Jacob Stone, from the original series, is featured a couple times, and he's fun for sure, but it's clear he's not needed to carry this show. These new characters do that easily on their own. The actors I miss and were hoping to see were John Larroquette, Rebecca Romijn, Noah Wyle, Lindy Booth, Christian Kane and Jon Kim. The one that is great to see in this new series is Dominic Monaghan. Because of Dominic, I might continue to watch. While I'm not having quite as much fun as with the original show, it's growing on me.
