It starts slowly, builds up a head of steam with Manuel Garcia-Rulfo in the role of his career and ends as a slam-bang twister of a legal thriller, full of whiplash energy, tasty acting and a satisfying sense of justice served. Go to Full Review

it’s pretty brave (...) to use the popularity it has acquired over the course of the last 3 seasons to make a fourth season, which is basically a scathing critique of the law and how brilliantly it can be misused to put innocent people in jail. Go to Full Review

Jack L 1d I cannot wait for the next one See more Stephen M. @stephmur 1d Season 4 of The Lincoln Lawyer (Netflix, February 2026) discards what made the series compelling: Mickey Haller as the clever, resourceful defense attorney masterminding brilliant escapes from his Lincoln. Instead, he’s framed for murder, confined to jail or house arrest, emotionally vulnerable—tearfully embracing his supporters—and often appearing passive and directionless throughout. His trademark confidence and inventive legal tactics? Largely missing, as the focus shifts to his team stepping up with the decisive strategies and courtroom victories. The series has always featured capable women—Lorna, Izzy, and Maggie earning meaningful contributions and holding their own—which created enjoyable balance. But this season overcorrects, sidelining Mickey while elevating the female characters to handle the core heroics, echoing those frustrating Hollywood trends where the lead male lead gets diminished. Mickey’s rekindled connection with ex-wife Maggie feels forced and inconsistent with his independent character. As for Izzy’s new romance with Grace, it’s portrayed as stable and positive, but it receives noticeable emphasis amid other relationships feeling underdeveloped—another example of prioritizing certain dynamics over organic narrative flow. It’s still branded The Lincoln Lawyer, yet Mickey spends far too much time reacting rather than driving the action. Disappointing for fans who cherished his sharp, flawed brilliance; this feels like another instance of Hollywood reshaping protagonists in ways that sap the show’s original energy. A missed opportunity. See more alexander a @Aalvarez2007 1d The best part about this show has always been the pacing. It rarely gets boring. But this season had so much filler. I didn't need to hear Lorna whining about how busy she is every other scene, or know about Izzy's token gay relationship with the new girl. The ending lacked the big reveal with the ah ha moment, because it was set up all throughout. All very disappointing. See more Alexander V @Alex93 1d Another very decent season. Same recipe as always just the seasoning is a little bit different. See more azalea @azalea-k 2d Every season feels more and more like each needs to be 8 episodes, not 10. The pace is brisk at the beginning and end, then takes a nap mid-season. See more P O @Old-school 2d The writing and acting has gone downhill. Silly and trying to be funny. Seems like network TV show now so for that reason I am done with it after three episodes See more Read all reviews
