A pregnant Laci Peterson disappeared without a trace on Christmas Eve in 2002. Four months later, her body and that of her unborn child, Conner, was found, and her husband, Scott Peterson, was eventually convicted of murder and sentenced to death, despite the absence of DNA evidence or eyewitness testimony. Nearing the 15th anniversary of Laci's disappearance, A&E Network presents a fresh look at the captivating case, a "definitive factual account by those who lived and breathed it every day." Across six episodes, showcased are new interviews with Scott Peterson himself from prison, as well as unprecedented access to his family as they speak candidly about his conviction. In addition, the series includes interviews with an expansive list of key eyewitnesses, experts, lawyers, cops, journalists and detectives.

algren K @RT53051464 04/20/2024 rewatched, since he is in the news again, and this holds up as a very detailed and ballanced documentary about a famous case where all that press seems to have left no one with actual facts. representatives from all sides speak and the series really dives into the details that are too often ignored in pursuit of headlines. Who knows if he did it, all I can conclude is the police put blinders on and ignored anything that led away from their suspect. And the press jumped right on board. and the suspect did himself no favors. whatever the case, I would never have imagined someone in such a highly publicized case getting death with absultely no forensic/dna/witness evidence, no real theory of how where and when it happened, and so many errors, on all sides. See more 07/14/2022 I was very upset to find out how biased this program was after having to do hours of research to find the information that this so-called ‘documentary' should've contained. This series leads you to believe that Scott Peterson is innocent. They delicately lead you through the story with half truths, twisted truths and even a few lies. Why? I don't have time for hours of fact checking after I watch a documentary. The only reason I did it was because I wanted to help Scott who I thought was wrongly convicted! The court documents break down the evidence and prove the burglary happened the 26th, not the cockamamie conspiracy it was the 24th. You'll find out Scott lied to the police about cutting his hands, asked about cadaver dogs within 24 hours of Laci's disappearance and was told ‘She's just a missing persons case…we haven't considered her dead yet Scott.' How could that be excluded? Scott also poured gasoline all over his boat cover and hid it! Not included in the series. Barely any of the evidence that actually convicted him is displayed in here. Just conspiracy theories. Scotts lawyer said the mailman never testified and I found out he did! Lie. Why did they lie so much? How could A&E allow this and how did it make it past legal? All the walking witnesses had conflicting stories and times in the court reports but they made it fit for the show. Then they lie about reasonable doubt by making it up! They try to say other pregnant women missing under suspicious circumstances like laci. Alice Sin. Why was she featured in this under a cloud of suspicion? Her husband killed her! Dena Raley-McCluskys name was up there too. Killed by her partner. Nothing to do with Laci! Evelyn Hernandez had a 5 year old son go missing with her. She was pregnant with her married lovers baby. His wife was his only alibi. So many lies and a deliberate ‘Scott's innocent' narrative painted for the viewer. That's 6 hours of half truths delivered so good luck figuring out which is which. There should be standards a documentary should meet. This was an absolute propaganda piece for the Peterson's and A&E should be ashamed of themselves for showing such rubbish! What's next A&E?? Chris Watts is innocent? Charles Manson was a victim of the media like poor Scott? See more 12/20/2020 Yikes. I got through two episodes before I had to quit watching. I thought this was supposed to be a documentary about the murder of Laci Peterson and not about trying to clear her murderer's name? It was very one-sided and the reporters featured were extremely toxic. I wish I had read reviews before watching because I feel so sick after this. See more 12/18/2020 Lies, lies and more lies, followed by an omission of crucial circumstantial evidence that convicted Scott. This entire mini-series was just a platform for the Peterson family to air their lies and ridiculous conspiracy theories. Ken Druckerman and Banks Tarver thought they were doing another ‘Making of a murderer'! They should be ashamed of themselves for trying to dupe their audience! Were there no competent editors on hand either? Your first ‘very credible' witness thinks he saw Laci while Scott said she was at home!!! Further investigation would've also shown that Homer Maldonado also called in tips in the 1999 Yosemite sightseer murders. A&E should be sued for even airing this! See more 08/20/2020 What a joke. No objectivity. It just proves that the news media is full of a bunch of idiots like Nancy Grace and poorly reports news to the public. Don't waste your time. See more 12/11/2019 I knew nothing about this case going into this show, but this "documentary" that was clearly made to clear the husband's name has only convinced me of his guilt. I kept waiting for something more convincing, but it wasn't worth the binge watch. See more Read all reviews
